Considering applying to medicine but don’t know where to start? You’re not alone.
With the already vast amount of information available from various platforms it can be difficult to distinguish what will help give you your best chance. We have made the initial stages of what we call “information gathering” easier by providing key information that may benefit each stage of your application. Through the use of this forum we hope to provide insight, advice and our top tips for getting into medicine.
The application process for medicine is more rigorous than most other degrees this lends itself to the importance research from the very start. Having been in your shoes, and probably shared the same concerns, we have summarised the journey from the light bulb moment of “I want to be a doctor!” to securing a place at medical school.

The Pre-Application stage of the process requires advanced planning to help you build a profile that would best reflect who you are whilst also demonstrating your understanding of the career you wish to pursue. The Application stage will explore the mandatory requirements for all prospective medical students regardless of the medical school you apply to. Our discussions centred around this stage will focus heavily on expectations from the medical school. We hope to guide you to great resources and recommendations to help you overcome many of these hurdles.
