Demystify subjects such as the medical portfolio which WP students wish they knew about earlier.

Provide an opportunity to for WP students and doctors to network with others they feel represented by in the medical workforce and reinforce our sense of community.
FAQs​

1. Is there parking available?
The nearest car park is on Claremont road, a 6-minute walk away from the building. There is also parking available on Richardsons Road. Please note, parking charges may apply.

Walking directions from Claremont road: Head down Lovers lane and go past the medical school. The Dame Margaret Barbour Building (DMBB) is the large building to the left of the sports centre.
​
Walking directions from Richardsons Road: DMBB is located directly behind the park view student village located next to the road.
​
2. What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at the Dame Margaret Barbour Building between 8:45am and 9:15am. We will be holding registration in the main entrance to this building.

3. Is there food available?
Lunch will be provided for you. Please bring water bottles to fill up and there is a cafe nearby if you want hot drinks and snacks.
4. I haven't received Teams links in order to attend the conference online
​If you have signed up for an online ticket you will have already received the teams links, please check you spam and junk folders. If you signed up for an in person ticket and unfortunately cannot make it anymore but would like to attend online, we will send you the Teams links on the day at 9am.

5. I am attending online but am having technology issues.

More about Newcastle WAMS: A student-led society based at Newcastle University. They run a range of events from outreach sessions aimed at aspiring medical students to events aimed at breaking down the ‘hidden curriculum’ for current MBBS students.
