WPMN Travel Bursary Policy 2022

We have teamed up with the Royal College of Radiologists to offer travel bursaries to medical students and doctors from widening participation backgrounds to attend the conference. We have a limited pool of money available for travel reimbursement and we are therefore aiming to distribute this money in the fairest way possible.

We can offer a maximum of £100 for 150 miles or more, £75 for 100 to 150 miles, £50 for less than 100 miles, and £25 for 50 to 100 miles per person. Priority will be given to Speakers, Conference Staff, Presenters, Medical Students, Doctors, and Aspiring Medical Students. Proof of receipt for transport such as train tickets, coach tickets, and fuel receipts will need to be provided.

We cannot guarantee funding and reimbursement will be retrospective. Applications cannot be appealed and will be at the discretion of WPMN. We’d like to remind medical students that you may also be able to access reimbursement through your medical school’s own grants and bursaries. Doctors may be able to access reimbursement via your allocated study budget. If you have any questions or concerns please contact finances@wpmn.org.
